Playgrounds UK were asked to help out the BBC's Big Build team to help complete the largest project they have ever undertaken. Helping refurbish the Norris Green Youth Centre in Liverpool by addressing the need for an outdoor exercise area for the centre.

The DIY SOS Team needed someone to step in to provide safety surfacing skills to lay wetpour safety surfacing (a highly skilled undertaking) to make the area safe to use. True to form, Creative Play stepped in to help - providing a 3 man team to complete the 150m2 area in less than a day.

This was a time-critical project and the team did a stirling job. You can see the results on the TV programme tonight.
From the BBC Website : Nick Knowles and the DIY SOS team take on their biggest ever build for a spectacular event in aid of Children in Need. The team travels to Liverpool to completely refurbish Norris Green Youth Centre. The money Children in Need already give to this centre helps it provide activities for young people with few other options. But the building is falling down around them, and without the youth centre the youngsters will have nowhere else to go outside school....
